Wizzard was formed 1972 buy Roy Wood (who earlier had great success with
Move and the Electric Light Orchestra). The line-up was: Rick Price (vocals/bass),
Hugh McDowell (cello), Bill Hunt (keyboards), Mike Burney (saxophone), Nick
Pentelow (saxophone), Keith Smart (drums) and Charlie Grima (drums).
Racey was formed in 1977 by lead singer Richard Gower. They
had a very short career, and only produced two noteable hits, both off the one
album. "Some Girls" and "Lay Your Love On Me". Other minor hits included:
"Boy Oh Boy", "Runaround Sue", and "Such A Night".
Real name: Fred Fowell. Before becoming one of Britain's leading comedians, Freddie
was (and still is) a talented singer. He sang with the following bands in the 60's:
"The Midnighters", "The Flamingos", and "The Delmonts" (The Delmont Four).
